Julie Cowan grew up in Lorain County. She is a proud LGBTQ+ parent. In this video, she talks about her son John, who is now 19, and how he told Julie and her husband at the age of 13 that he wanted to be a boy.

Learn about their story and how having Trans family resources was a life saver for them.

Julie’s goal as a board member of LGBTQ+ Lorain County is to bring these supportive services to Lorain County.
